What to Expect

Arrival

Be sure to arrive only about 5 minutes early in order to allow time for your child to get ready for the lesson.

What to Bring

Here is a list of items that you will need to bring for each class:

  • Swimsuit
  • Towel
  • Hair tie (prevents long hair from getting in the way during lessons)
  • Sunscreen (already applied)

Here are some common items that are NOT allowed during our swimming lessons:

  • Goggles
  • Swim shoes
  • Toys from home (kickboards, diving sticks, etc.)

During Class

Once the lesson begins, we ask that parents leave so that we can establish a good rapport and trust with your child. We then work on the necessary skills depending on your child’s swimming level.

  • Each class is 50 minutes long for five consecutive days.
  • Our ratio is 4 to 5 students per instructor.
  • We utilize the Red Cross curriculum. ‘Safety First’ is our first teaching objective.
  • Our instructors have over 25 years of teaching experience.
  • Our small student-teacher ratio is designed to optimize instruction time

Departure

We get out of the pool at ten minutes before the hour in order to get your child ready for your arrival and give us time to receive the next class. We will bring all students out to meet you after the entire class is completely ready to go.
